Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? We have answers. Here's a list of common queries to help you prepare for your adventure. If you don't find your answer here, feel free to contact us!
What is the best time of year to go canyoneering?
Canyoneering in Cebu is possible year-round! The dry season, from December to May, generally offers sunnier weather. However, the rainy season can mean fewer crowds and fuller waterfalls. We monitor weather conditions daily and will only proceed if it's safe.
Do I need to know how to swim?
Yes, basic swimming ability is required. While you will be wearing a life vest, you need to be comfortable in the water as there are sections where you will swim for short distances.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable swimwear or quick-drying clothes (rash guard and leggings/shorts are ideal). Most importantly, you MUST wear sturdy, closed-toe footwear like running shoes or trail shoes. Slippers or sandals are not allowed.
Are there age or weight restrictions?
Yes, the minimum age for our tours is 12 years old. There isn't a strict weight limit, but participants must be in good physical condition to handle several hours of trekking and swimming.
What is included in the tour package?
Our standard package is all-inclusive! It covers your guide, all safety equipment (helmet, life vest), entrance and government fees, and a delicious recovery meal after the activity.
How high are the jumps?
The jumps range from small leaps of a few feet up to a final optional jump of about 30-40 feet (10-12 meters). The great news is that all the major jumps have an alternative path if you're not comfortable jumping. Your guide will never force you to do something you don't want to do.
Can I bring my phone or camera?
You can! Waterproof action cameras like GoPros are perfect. For phones, you must have a waterproof case or pouch. Please be aware that you are solely responsible for your devices. We are not liable for any damage or loss.
